New version Skype 5 for Mac

On January. 27, the Skype company has released a new version of its software for the operating system Mac OS X, so from now the label "beta" will no more be present near the program name. In the new version there are video conferences in the "Premium pack" and several further improvements as well in its functioning, as in its interface. Skype developers would like to thank all users who sent their opinions about the functionality of the beta-version of Skype, especially for their positive feedback about videoconferencing. Now this function is a part of the premium pack that includes also the user support in live chat format. One can enjoy videoconferencing for 7 days for free, and then one can purchase a subscription with a daily pack for $4.99 (€3.49/£2.99) or a monthly pack for $8.99 (€5.99/£4.99). One of the problems of the former version of the program, reported by many users, was its size. Everything - the window, the contact list, the way instant manages were shown - everything was large and not comfortable. But now Skype experts give good news: they have managed to compose together all the details and even pixels, so now the program looks much more compact. More than that, the programm window size has been decreased in the minimized mode as well, so for those, who like to put Skype into one half of the screen - now it has become more comfortable. Also the developers have composed the contact list in the way so that you can now see 30% more contacts as before. And the spare space on the side has been decreased as well.

In addition, the way of showing instant messages has been changed, so now the free space is used in the correct way and you can see more text without scrolling this program's part.

Contact monitor enables good organization of  the communication with close friends or work colleagues. In the new version it is even more simple - just go into the Window menu.

Also, the developers have decided to bring the full-screen video call picture back to the programm. When you are going to make a call, just press the appropriate button to choose the full-screen mode, and then press the same button to bring Skype back to the normal mode.

Now it is even more simple to communicate through chat, while you are talking. Just press one button - ant the chat panel is in front of you. It is in the same way simple to hide the panel back again.
